South Florida’s Largest, Volunteer Cancer Fundraising Organization
With 20,000 members strong, The Pap Corps Champions for Cancer Research is South Florida’s largest grassroots fundraising organization. Together, we strive towards our collective vision— A World Without Cancer. All funds raised at our events benefit Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. There, physicians and scientists work on groundbreaking research programs to eradicate all forms of cancer.

The Polo Trace Chapter of The Pap Corps was established in May 2021. We are proud to be the 51st chapter of this prestigious organization. Our Board consists of dedicated people who have been active members of The Pap Corps for many years. We are an “Open Chapter”, and as such, invite men and women who are not residents of Polo Trace to join. In addition, we have a Men’s Division, whose function is to set up special fundraising activities!

Polo Trace kicked off the new season with a Fundraiser for Sylvester Hospital with the event: Fun With Flowers! The participants received instructions on the making of a beautiful floral arrangement which they took home!
The Polo Trace Chapter hosted their first Wine and Cheese Symposium to bring awareness of the Pap Corps partnership with the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Art Rosenberg and Leslie Cooper organized this event to have amazing speakers whose objectives were to understand more about The Pap Corps, and to increase men’s participation in the organization.
Dr. Mikkael Sekeres, from Sylvester Hospital, spoke about the advances being made through the research at Sylvester and its designation as the only NCI (National Cancer Institute) in South Florida.
Susan Dinter, Chairman of the Pap Corps Board, spoke about the member benefits of joining the Pap Corps, and the connection to Sylvester Hospital.
David Aukstikalnis, a Lifetime Member of the Pap Corps and a resident of Polo Trace, spoke about his successful journey from Cancer diagnosis through surgery at Sylvester, and treatment, and the importance of The Pap Corps in his life.
Sylvester, with its cutting-edge therapies over the last decade is one of the nation’s top Cancer research hospitals!
Polo Trace Walkathon, March 25, 2023
Polo Trace held a very successful Event Saturday evening…Line Dancing with Award Winners Roz and Nat Morgan. It was held as a Fund Raiser by the Pap Corps Chapter for Sylvester Hospital.
The Polo Trace Pap Chapter donated over 400 toys for the underprivileged children of Palm Beach County. Deputy Kenneth Torrence, Community Outreach Coordinator and Media Relations of the PBCSO ( Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office) collected the toys on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. He was overwhelmed by the magnitude of the generosity of the Polo Trace homeowners to meet the needs of these children. The PBCSO has volunteered to assist us with the Polo Trace Walkathon to be held on March 25, 2023, to raise money for Cancer Research at Sylvester Hospital in Miami
On Thursday, December 8th, five members of the Polo Trace Pap Corps Chapter attended the Presidents Meeting at Boca West Country Club. The featured speaker was Dr. Matthew P. Schlumbrecht, Professor of Clinical Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, Vice Chair of Global and Community Health Director, Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship, Division of Gynecologic Oncology.

Holiday Boutique Shopping Day, Nov. 2, 2022. The first holiday shopping spree was held at Polo Trace.
The Polo Trace Fun With Flowers
Congratulations to the Polo Trace Chapter of the Pap Corps for a very successful fund raiser “Fun With Flowers,” Chaired by Leslie Cooper. The participants created the beautiful arrangement at Field of Flowers in Boca Raton.
